SEATTLE — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan arrived at Boeing Field for a visit to the Seattle area Monday as part of a fundraising swing through the Northwest.
He started the day in Portland, and the Seattle stop is expected to be a private meeting with donors on the Eastside.
Tickets range from $1,000 for general participation, $2,500 for a picture with Ryan, and $25,000 for a dinner.
Ryan spoke to about 200 donors at the Governor Hotel in Portland. He challenged President Barack Obama to pick a side in a teachers strike in Chicago, saying "in a Romney-Ryan administration, we will not be ambiguous."
No public events are planned.
He also talked up Romney's accomplishments as a businessman, the leader of the troubled Salt Lake Olympics and as governor of Massachusetts.
