Spokesman: Flood risk low along King County Rivers

CARNATION, Wash. — The Snoqualmie River and the Tolt River both were at flood stage Wednesday creating some minor problems particularly where the two rivers meet near Carnation.

KIRO 7 found a small access road flooded.

King County Department of  Transportation workers said roads in the area would likely be closed off overnight.

A spokesman for King County said the risk for any serious flooding that would affect people or property is very low, despite all the recent rain.

The county flood center was also open for a time.  Operators took questions about what would happen if western Washington get even more precipitation.
