SEATTLE — A driver led authorities on a chase early Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The chase started on Mercer Island around 1 a.m. when troopers attempted to stop a speeding and deviating vehicle on westbound Interstate 90 at East Mercer.
When the vehicle did not stop, authorities continued the pursuit.
Troopers attempted to use a pit maneuver to stop the driver but it was unsuccessful.
After the driver exited the freeway, the vehicle’s front tires fell apart.
The vehicle struck a parked vehicle on Airport Way and Seventh Avenue in SoDo.
The driver was booked into the King County Jail for eluding and could face other charges.
