KENT, Wash. — A Kent apartment was damaged early Sunday morning after a car struck it, officials with the Kent Fire Department said.
The incident happened at about 2 a.m. in the 23600 block of Pacific Highway South.
When crews arrived at the location, they found a vehicle in the apartment.
The resident was not injured, and the American Red Cross will be assisting him.
According to authorities, the car narrowly missed a resident who was asleep at the time of the crash.
Authorities said the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
