TENINO, Wash. — An Amtrak train struck a pickup Saturday afternoon, injuring three of four people inside the truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision happened near Tenino, where a pickup stopped on the tracks and was hit by the train, according to troopers.
The three people were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Washington State Patrol, the train struck the frontal portion of the vehicle.
It is unknown at this time why the pickup stopped on the tracks.
