Suspect injured after driving over cliff during Snohomish County pursuit

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A man was injured Tuesday night during a police pursuit in Snohomish County.

Before 8:30 p.m., deputies tried to do a traffic stop on a 34-year-old man who police said had two felony warrants.

The chase started at 19th Avenue Southeast and 132nd Street Southeast in Mill Creek and ended at 23rd Street and East Grand Avenue in Everett.

He was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect went through an intersection and drove over a cliff.

Two patrol vehicles were damaged during the pursuit but the deputies were not hurt.  

The man had warrants for a robbery and one for violation of a no contact order.
