Snow slide closes North Cascades Highway

NEWHALEM, Wash. — The North Cascades Highway, or SR 20, is closed east of Newhalem after a large snow slide.

Both directions are closed at milepost 123. There is no estimated time for reopening.

Crews will be reassessing the slide on Monday.
