Truck wedged under dump truck in 405 crash

The driver of a truck had to be rescued by firefighters after their truck became partially wedged under a dump truck during a crash on I-405 in Renton. The person who was trapped is OK.  Read story here.

The driver of a truck had to be rescued by firefighters after their truck became partially wedged under a dump truck during a crash.

The crash occurred in Renton on northbound Interstate 405 at State Route 167 shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday.

Video from Chopper 7 showed the front end of the smaller truck wedged under the back of a tandem dump truck.

Renton firefighters said the driver of the smaller truck was trapped.

The victim was rescued and transported to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.

The two right lanes are closed. The HOV lane is open to all traffic.
