SUMNER, Wash. — Two 19-year-olds were arrested Thursday after gunshots hit a Sumner police car as well as the City Hall early Tuesday.
Police said they received reports of multiple gunshots fired at about 1 a.m.
Responding officers found at least one gunshot had gone through the back window of a patrol car that was parked in the lot across Alder Avenue from City Hall. The window shattered.
Three other gunshots hit the back of the City Hall building, striking a metal door, siding and brick.
Investigators say the damage appears to be a part of other shots that were fired in the area, but Sumner police continue to investigate.
