WASHINGTON STATE — Thunderstorms moved through western Washington Saturday, bringing heavy rain, hail and reports of funnel clouds.
Storms started in Lewis County, then moved into Pierce County. There was rain on and off in Puget Sound during the morning.
Several friends of KIRO 7 sent in images and video of thunder and hail in Tacoma by Saturday afternoon. [See photos of the stormy weather.]
Lightning struck near Steilacoom around 1 p.m.
Others reported power outages in the University Place area. Around 3,325 Puget Sound Energy customers were affected by outages at 2:40 p.m.

At 2:45 p.m., officials with the National Weather Service in Seattle said moderate to heavy showers in north King and south Snohomish counties could be expected over the next half hour. Some were expected to contain lightning and small hail.
