After a 34-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll joined the “Brock and Salk” show on 710 ESPN Seattle to provide updates on the team.

Carroll said wide receiver Tyler Lockett broke both his fibula and tibia in his right leg trying to catch a pass near the end zone in the second quarter. Lockett underwent surgery late Saturday night, and is expected to start walking in four-six weeks. It is expected the team will put him on injured reserve (IR) to open a spot on the 53-man roster.

Carroll said the surgery ended around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning and Lockett has a chance to be up and moving in four to six weeks.

Running back Thomas Rawls did not play in the second half after bruising his shoulder, and the team does not know if he will be available for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Running back Alex Collins filled in during the second half, and Terrence Magee, and J.D. McKissic are the other running backs on the roster. CJ Prosise is also on the active roster but is rehabbing an injured scapula.

Coach Carroll went on to explain he held a team meeting last Wednesday to address Richard Sherman’s outburst in the 24-3 win against the LA Rams on Thursday December 15th.

He is scheduled to meet with the media during his regular Monday afternoon news conference at 3 PM today at the VMAC in Renton.

Carroll also said he held a team meeting last Wednesday to address Richard Sherman’s outburst in the Rams game at Offensive Coordinator Darrell Bevell and the play calling at the goal line.
