SEATTLE — Former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch may come out of retirement, according to an NBC reporter.

On a Monday night broadcast, reporter Mike Florio said that Lynch is considering coming out of retirement, looking at a return during week four or week five.

The Seahawks hold his rights and would have to decide whether to welcome Lynch back on to the roster, trade him or release him, Florio said.

Lynch announced his retirement during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, tweeting a photo of a green cleats hanging with a peace sign. That came after reports that he told people close to him he was retiring.

"Salute to my guy @MoneyLynch," Richard Sherman tweeted minutes later. "It was an honor sharing the field with you."

Months later, he confirmed his retirement in an interview with "60 Minutes Sports." Watch the interview here.
