One man dead, 1 injured in shooting at Kent gas station

KENT, Wash. — Two men were shot outside a Kent gas station overnight. One died at the scene.

The shooting happened behind the 76 Station at 64th Avenue South and West Meeker Street shortly after midnight Tuesday.

One man was able to make it inside the gas station's mini mart to tell the clerk to call 911. The other man died outside.

The survivor was taken to Harborview with life-threatening injuries.

The shooter or shooters are still at large.

Kent police are looking at surveillance video from the gas station.

Investigators said the victims were likely targeted and may have been involved in a drug deal.
