WHITE PASS, Wash. — A man skiing out of bounds was killed in an avalanche outside the White Pass Ski Resort.
The man, identified as 31-year-old Adam Roberts, had been skiing with a friend outside the boundaries of the resort late Tuesday.
The two split up and took different routes. At some point, Roberts triggered an avalanche, the resort said.
Ski patrol members found Roberts under 5 to 6 feet of snow.
The death is under investigation.
