SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting six women in a 20-minute spree on the University of Washington campus.
Investigators say Ernest Parnell sexually assaulted six women May 4.
Police say all the incidents happened at the UW health science building.
Parnell is in jail on a $500,000 bond.
The attacks happened five days after Parnell was released from jail.
There have been five other unrelated attacks near the college campus.
University of Washington police are considering expanded security service.
KIRO 7 looked into the resources available to students. Husky Night Walk service covers only the campus from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
There are also NightRide Shuttles that transport U-Pass holders to stops within campus.
Students who live off-campus would like to see both services expanded.
"If it would drop me off at my house, that's awesome. I would take it all the time because I'm on campus super-late,” said UW junior Holly Sullivan.
Some students would like to see the hours services expanded as well.
The Nightride Shuttles run from 8 p.m. to just after 1:30 a.m. and do not operate on weekends.
