Driver injured in South Seattle crash, car fire

A woman was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after a car crash and fire in South Seattle.

The crash happened near South Edmunds Street and Airport Way South.

Seattle fire told KIRO 7 that a car crashed into a utility pole and caught on fire.

The fire was extinguished. The driver, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Harborview Medical Center. She is in serious condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
