3 rescued from second-floor window during South Seattle fire

SEATTLE — Firefighters rescued three people from a second-floor bedroom window during a fire at a Seattle duplex.

Crews were called to the duplex in the 4500 block of South Orcas Street in the Rainier Valley at about 3:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters said the fire started in the living room.

Crews were able to get three people out of the home with no injuries. Two other people and a baby went out the front door.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
