40-foot boat burns at Des Moines Marina fuel dock

A 40-foot boat caught fire at the Des Moines Marina fuel dock late Thursday morning.

South King fire said they received a report that one person was on the boat trying to put out the fire with an extinguisher.

South King fire said the flames had extended to the fuel dock. Video from Chopper 7 showed that the majority of the fire was on the boat.

Firefighters responded at 22307 Dock Ave S. and have since put out the flames.

A viewer reported that they could see the smoke from the fire from Vashon Island.

No injuries were reported.
