Sunbreaks By This Afternoon

A band of snow is still falling near Stevens Pass and is forecast to wind down by this afternoon. The Winter Weather Advisory for the passes has been allowed to expire.
Otherwise, expect some sunshine at times with a cooler day in the wake of the cold front with highs in the 50s in the lowlands.

Friday will start dry but by afternoon another similar weather system will move through with some rain showers and mountain snow pockets late Friday into early Saturday. It looks like the Cascades will get a little less snow with this next system, though. Snow levels will drop early Saturday morning to between 500-1000′. Snow rain/snow mixture will be possible in the lowlands Saturday morning, but no accumulations are expected.

We’ll dry out again Saturday afternoon and by Sunday expect more sunshine and highs in the 50s. Near-solid sunshine emerges Monday and expect plenty of sun Tuesday through the end of next week with highs in the 60s and some 70s possible. Those on Spring Break next week will have timed their time off perfectly.
