The bridge, a major arterial across I-5 going east and west, was closed to all cars, bikes and pedestrians. About 30 bus routes were forced to take alternate routes.
At 107 years old, it's one of the oldest steel bridges in the city and was in need of some major safety upgrades. The rehab project started last May.
It underwent seismic upgrades and work also went into trying to preserve the historical elements of the bridge.
The project cost nearly $20 million.
The bridge will reopen with a ceremony with city officials at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
