Suspected DUI crash on I-5 backs up traffic for miles

SEATAC, Wash. — An early morning crash on northbound I-5 in SeaTac backed up traffic nine miles Monday morning.

It happened about 4 a.m. just south of South 188th Street.

Two cars rolled over in the crash but no one was seriously hurt.

Two lanes were blocked while police investigated and crews worked to clear the cars from the scene.

Police said the causing driver was taken into custody for investigation of driving under the influence.

The crash was cleared by 5:50 a.m., but traffic was backed up for 8 miles into Federal Way.
