A pedestrian was hit and killed after being struck by a car on Taylor Avenue and Denny Way in Seattle's Denny Triangle neighborhood.
Police said the 51-year-old driver of a Toyota sedan was pulling his car out of a garage at a building in the 100 block of Taylor Avenue North at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday when he heard something hit his car.
The driver got out of his car and found he had hit a man. He called 911 and waited for medics and police.
The victim, a 50-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A drug recognition expert evaluated the driver and found no signs of impairment.
