Seahawks prepare for Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota

The Seahawks hit the road for their next game against Tennessee on Sunday. And Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll knows that Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has career red zone numbers that are off the charts.
“If you look at his red zone numbers, his red zone numbers are like phenomenal as far as touchdowns and turnovers and all that,” said Carroll. “That's a really good sign for what you have. The guy's got a great conscience [and] he's got great awareness. In the most difficult area to throw the football, he's really good at it."

The Seahawks are also preparing for the Titans top two running backs DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry.
"Those guys are both terrific runners,” said Carroll. “They can run inside and outside, they're physical runners, they got style. They make big runs, you know, and all of that."
The Titans are looking to carry the momentum of last week's win over Jacksonville into this game. But there is no question that Tennessee will have a huge challenge against the Seahawks defense.
"I think the front seven has been ferocious,” Richard Sherman, a Seahawks cornerback, said. “I think Sheldon [Richardson] has been an incredible addition. He's helped take some of the stress off Michael Bennett [and] some of the double teams off Mike Bennett, some of the slides away from Mike B. and Cliff [Avril]."
And after he racked up 93 yards on 20 carries against the 49ers, Seahawks fans are excited to see what Chris Carson can do at Tennessee.
Carroll said Eddie Lacy is ready "to get after it" after he was inactive for Seattle's home opener.
“He respects Thomas Rawls, he understands that,” said Carroll. “That’s not what he wants, I don’t want him to accept it, I want him to be wanting to get back out there with everything he’s got, and that’s exactly the way he should be competing. I wish we could’ve had him up, we could’ve used him.”
