Whidbey Island residents file noise lawsuit against Navy

WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. — A group of Whidbey Island residents filed a lawsuit to block the Navy from flying Growler jets over their homes.

Neighbors have complained about the noise for years.

One woman told the Seattle Times the jets wake her up and give her son anxiety.

According to a lawsuit filed Monday, the citizens group wants to ground the jets until the Navy completes an environmental impact statement.
