“Dancing With the Stars” hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will not be back for the next season of the reality competition, multiple news outlets are reporting.
According to People magazine, ABC and BBC issued a statement Monday confirming the departure of Bergeron, who has been with the show since 2005, and Andrews, who competed on the show in 2010 and has co-hosted since 2014.
"Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the 'Dancing With the Stars' family," read the statement obtained by People and E! News. "As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success."
The statement went on to say that Andrews, 42, won't be returning, either.
"We appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom," the networks said, lauding "her signature sense of humor."
Bergeron, 65, appeared to take the news in stride, tweeting that his 15-year tenure on the show has been "the most unexpected gift of my career."
"I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?" he quipped.
Andrews has not publicly commented on the decision.
