The annual list is made up of people that Time editors say are artists, innovators, titans, leaders, icons and pioneers.

For the artist category, Simu Liu, Andrew Garfield, Zoë Kravitz and Pete Davidson are among the honorees.

While Zendaya has been on the small and big screen for a decade, Time is calling her an Innovator, and she is joined by Taika Waititi, Miranda Lambert and Timnit Gebru. Some on the list of innovators may be household names from the world of entertainment, while people such as Gebru are known in the world of technology. Gebru was the most senior Black woman leading a team of artificial intelligence ethicists at Google. She was hired to find problems and improve technology. But after co-authoring a paper that exposed racial discrimination by AI systems at Google, she was fired. She is now the lead at the Distributed AI Research Institute.

Time’s list of Titans includes Tim Cook, Oprah Winfrey and Kris Jenner.

Leaders named to this year’s Influential list include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is highlighted in an article written by President Joe Biden; Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose article was written by Alexei Navalny; and Ron DeSantis, whose article was written by Jeb Bush.

Time named Mary J. Blige, Rafael Nadal and Jon Batiste among its list of Icons.

Pioneers include Candace Parker, Emmett Schelling and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson.
