The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that it had arrested Senaida Soto on charges of breaking into her boyfriend’s home, stealing several items, and setting the building on fire.

Deputies said that Soto had FaceTimed her boyfriend but became upset when another woman answered the phone. In the news release, deputies said the other woman was a relative of the boyfriend.

Investigators said that Soto was so upset that she went to her boyfriend’s house and lit the couch in the living room on fire. Deputies said that a video shows her setting the fire, which spread and caused more than $50,000 in damage.

Deputies said that while the house was on fire, Soto texted her boyfriend and said, “I hope your house is okay.”

Soto was arrested Monday and charged with burglary of a habitation and arson, KRGV reported.

The boyfriend created a GoFundMe to help cover the damages, and said he had only been dating Soto for a month, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
