Police said a man was also involved in the theft, but as of Saturday night he had not been arrested, WOAI reported.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Lujan and the man were caught on a surveillance camera stealing mail from an apartment complex on July 9, 2020, KSAT reported.

Lujan then removed mail from 14 mailboxes and put the contents into her purse, the television station reported. The man also removed mail from 25 different mailboxes and put the contents into a backpack, according to an arrest affidavit.

Lujan and the man left the apartment complex mailroom and fled the scene in a vehicle, KSAT reported.

According to the arrest affidavit, the pair was later stopped by agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Agents recovered mail from more than 51 addressees, the television station reported.

Lujan was booked into the Bexar County Jail on Friday, and bail was set at $75,000, according to Bexar County online booking records.
