Recall alert: Liberty Hardware recalls 38K glass cabinet knobs due to laceration risk

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Liberty Hardware Manufacturing Corp. on Wednesday recalled roughly 38,000 glass cabinet knobs after fielding reports that resulted in at least three lacerations.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Liberty Hardware confirmed in its recall notice that the glass stem of its Mercury Glass Cabinet Knobs and Flower Glass Cabinet Knobs can break during use, posing a laceration hazard. To date, the company has received 29 reports of the knobs breaking during use, resulting in injuries to at least three consumers.

The affected knobs were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide and at various online retailers including homedepot.com, wayfair.com, dlawlesshardware.com and build.com from July 2016 through September 2021 for between $4 to $6 each.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled glass cabinet knobs immediately, remove them and contact Liberty Hardware to receive a full refund.
