Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in a Facebook post said a concerned citizen had called 911 to report a reckless driver near SR 100 W and County Road on the Thursday before Christmas. The man’s breath alcohol level was .301 when he arrived at the jail. FCSO said that is nearly four times the legal limit.

WFLA reported that the legal limit is .08

“As the Deputy states in the video, this driver is lucky he didn’t kill someone driving that drunk,” said FCSO Sheriff Rick Staly. “As we head into the New Year’s Eve weekend, remember to drive sober or get pulled over.”

The video attacked to FCSO’s Facebook post is a body cam video that was released on Friday which showed the traffic stop, according to WFLA.

The man also originally refused to do a sobriety test during the traffic stop. According to WFLA, a deputy eventually put the man in handcuffs and reportedly reprimanded him for drunk driving.

No further information has been released including the man’s identification.
