The exhibit, billed as an “immersive experience” highlighting the works of the Dutch post-impressionist painter, has been touring the country.

According to Lt. Bill Smith of the Grand Rapids Fire Department, a visitor at the downtown Grand Rapids exhibit at DeVos Place nearly fainted and grabbed onto a drape, pulling down some of the exhibit, WMXI-TV reported.

John Tellem, the media representative for the exhibit, told WZZM-TV that the woman was inside the exhibit’s education room when she felt faint.

Smith said that one bystander was struck when the drapes fell. Tellem added that said nothing in the immersive portion of the exhibit was damaged, WOOD-TV reported.

The woman who fainted did not require further assistance, WXMI reported. The exhibit opened shortly after the incident, Tellem said.
