It’s a girl: Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcome daughter

Queen Elizabeth II is a great-grandmother again. Royal granddaughter Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have announced the birth of their daughter.

Princess Beatrice and the baby, whose name has not been announced, are doing well, BBC News reported.

The baby weighed 6lb 2oz. when she was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Saturday.

The baby is now the 11th in line to the throne and is Queen Elizabeth’s 12th great-grandchild.

The Royal Family said in a statement announcing the baby’s birth: “... the couple are looking forward to inducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

The baby is the first child for the couple. Mozzi’s also a father to Woolf, a son he had from a previous relationship, USA Today reported.

Princess Beatrice married Mozzi in a private ceremony last year, BBC News reported.
