Heavy snow traps dozens inside UK pub

YORKSHIRE, England — More than 60 people have finally been freed from a remote pub in the United Kingdom after a snowstorm trapped them for days.

The Tan Hill Inn in Yorkshire, England, was hosting an Oasis cover band Friday when snow trapped everyone inside, the New York Times reported. Piles of snow as high as three feet blocked the exits and made it impossible for people to leave.

The band, Noasis, was trapped alongside the guests and seven employees. Everyone slept on the floor or couches, NBC News reported.

On Facebook, the inn announced they had been rescued Monday afternoon after more than three nights snowed inside. A Facebook post by The Tan Hill Inn shows a single plowed lane and the text, “We have already had to many posts from lockdown customers saying “we miss you” We miss them too. Wait for the film.”
