The trailer shows several black-and-white photos of the couple at public events and from their private life together.

Director Liz Garbus says the film documents their courtship through their time as working royals and their retreat from service.

At one point in the trailer, Garbus asks Harry, “Why did you want to make this documentary?” He responds, “No one knows what’s happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything to protect my family.”

His wife, Meghan adds, “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

No release date has been announced as the trailer only states “coming soon,” but it is expected to be released this month, People magazine reported.

The trailer was released as Harry’s brother and sister-in-law — Prince William and Princess Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales — visit Boston and after Lady Susan Hussey resigned from the royal household following accusations that he had made offensive remarks to a Black guest at Buckingham Palace recently, Variety reported.

In addition to the documentary, Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” will be on sale next month. Netflix and the couple’s production company Archewell Productions is also expected to release a documentary focusing on the Invictus Games, which has the working title “Heart of Invictus,” People magazine reported.
