The Girl Scouts of the USA announced on Tuesday that they will be releasing a new cookie for the 2023 season called the Raspberry Rally and it will be sold exclusively online.
According to a news release from Girl Scouts, the new cookie is similar to Thin Mints but will have a raspberry flavor rather than a mint one, with the same chocolate coating.
Girl Scouts said that the new cookie will be their first in their cookie lineup to be sold exclusively online for direct shipment rather than to buy directly from a Girl Scout or outside of a store.
“Cookie season is an exciting annual event for Girl Scouts across the nation. Proceeds raised from in-person and online cookie orders directly benefit local councils and troops. When Girl Scouts run their own cookie business, they are a part of the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. Girl Scouts learn leadership, problem-solving, and community building through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, resulting in an invaluable experience that cultivates an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit,” said Girl Scouts in a news release.
It’s also not the first new cookie released by the Girl Scouts in recent years. In 2022, according to People Magazine, they released the Adventurefuls, which is a brownie-like treat with a caramel-flavored cream center, chocolate sauce and some sea salt.
Some of the other cookies you can expect to see on the 2023 lineup include Samoas, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs, Thin Mints and more, according to People Magazine.
The Raspberry Rally will be available online for the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie season, which is typically January through April. To learn more about the new cookie, to be kept up to date on when sales for 2023 will begin or to see when your local troop will begin selling cookies, visit their website.
