In addition to the iPhone, Apple will introduce new Macs, iPads and Apple Watches at the event that will likely be held on Sept. 7.

The new iPhones generally show up in stores about a week to a week and a half after they are unveiled. According to Bloomberg, some retail store employees have been told to prepare for a major new product release on Sept. 16.

The new phone will replace the “notch,” the front-facing camera cutout, with a hole for Face ID sensors and another one for the camera, resulting in more screen space, according to Bloomberg.

The iPhone 14 Pro will have a faster chip while the regular iPhone model will have the same chip as the iPhone 13 has. It will also have a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera and 12-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto sensors.

An improvement in battery life is also expected.
