In a post on Twitter, Depeche Mode said, “We are shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness at the untimely passing of our dear friend, family member, and bandmate Andy “Fletch” Fletcher. Fletch had a true heart of gold and was always there when you needed support, a lively conversation, a good laugh, or a cold pint.”

Fletcher formed Depeche Mode in the late 1970s with bandmates Martin Gore and Vince Clark, later recruiting Dave Gahan, The Guardian reported. The band is best known for hits like “New Life” and “Just Can’t Get Enough.”
