WEST JORDAN, Utah — Three people were killed, including a baby, in a small plane crash in Utah over the weekend, authorities said.

According to CNN, six people were on board the Piper PA-32 on Saturday afternoon when it took off from South Valley Regional Airport and later crashed into a backyard in West Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City, authorities said.
The pilot and two passengers, including a 9-month-old baby and a woman, died in the crash, The Associated Press reported. Of the remaining passengers, one woman was in critical condition, a 2-year-old was in stable condition, and a 12-year-old was released after receiving treatment, authorities said.
Additionally, a 72-year-old woman in a home damaged by the crash suffered critical injuries, according to the AP. Two other homes also were damaged, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation.
