3 juveniles cause $50K of damage to Oklahoma school, police say

ALTUS, Okla. — Three juveniles, 12 years old and under, caused at least $50,000 in damage to an Oklahoma school, authorities said.

Altus police Chief Tim Murphy said the children -- ages 12, 8 and 6 -- were taken into custody after the Sunday incident, KSWO reported.

Murphy said that surveillance cameras showed the children breaking into Altus Intermediate School through a glass door, the Times Record News reported.

Video showed the children dumping paint on the floors and walls of the school, using fire extinguishers and damaging doors and windows, the newspaper reported.

The three children were released to their parents, KSWO reported.
