MORENO VALLEY, Calif. — One person died and three others were hospitalized after an apparent overdose at a California home on Saturday, authorities said.
According to a news release by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence in Moreno Valley at about 7:30 p.m. EST. Multiple people at the scene were unresponsive, KTTV reported.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KABC-TV. His identity has not been released.

Three other men were transported to a hospital “for treatment of life-threatening injuries,” the sheriff’s office news release stated. “Early findings would indicate drugs are a factor in the death and we do not suspect foul play.”
The substance involved was unknown, KABC reported.
An investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
