MELBOURNE, Fla. - The body of a 53-year-old woman discovered Friday in a van parked in a Walmart store parking lot "had been there for quite some time," according to West Melbourne police said.

Surveillance video at the Walmart shows the woman's van pulled into the parking lot on Sept. 26, but officials are trying to determine if she had been there since that day or had left and returned later, Florida Today reports.

West Melbourne police told Florida Today that "there were no obvious signs of trauma" to the body, but it was already decomposing when found.

Detectives are still investigating but so far "have found no signs of foul play," Florida Today reports.

The woman's identity has not been released. The medical examiner's office will determine if foul play or some other issue played a role in her death.
