Customers who purchase a holiday drink from any chain in the United States and Canada between 2 and 5 p.m. from Nov. 9-13 will receive another one, of equal or lesser value, for free.

The goal is to "buy one drink, get one to share," the company tweeted.

Which beverages will be up for grabs?

Eligible ones include the Chestnut Praline Latte, Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte, Holiday Spice Flat White and Teavana Joy Brewed Tea.

The promotion is a part of “Give Good,” the company’s theme for this year’s holiday initiative.

"Giving good can be as small as someone opening the door for you, or recognizing the people that enrich your life -- your child's teacher, a caregiver, a family friend," Leanne Fremar, executive creative director for Starbucks, said in a statement. "The holidays are a time to celebrate all the good we give to each other and our community."

Earlier this month, the company released its first color-in holiday cup. It features a pair of hands holding red cups of coffee surrounded by holiday scenes and splashes of red and green.

The white areas leave plenty of room for customers to fill in the spaces with their own decorations, a cue the company said it took from patrons who had already been using its cups as canvases.
