Longtime “The Voice” judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has decided to buzz the last singing hopeful into their musical destiny.

Levine, who has whipped his chair around in approval of hundreds of vocals for 16 seasons on “The Voice,” announced he’d be leaving the show. Carson Daly, host of the music competition, shared the news on his other show, “Today.” Gwen Stefani, who previously served as a judge, will take his seat.

"Of course many viewers will miss watching his frenemy relationship with Blake Shelton," Daly said. "He'll always be a cherished member of 'The Voice' family, and of course we wish him nothing but the best."

He has been a part of the show since its inception, and he has been a winning judge three times, according USA Today. Levine was the victor with Javier Colon in season 1, Tessanne Chin in season 5 and Jordan Smith in season 9.

Fellow longtime judge Blake Shelton, who Levine often engages in playful spats with on the show, posted about a tender moment between him and Levine earlier this week.

Shelton, 42, also tweeted about his sadness following the news.

"Having a hard time wrapping my head around @adamlevine not being at @NBCTheVoice anymore," the "God's Country" singer tweeted on Friday. "After 16 seasons that changed both of ours lives. I only found out about this yesterday and it hasn't set in on me yet."
