Troopers respond to crash after pursuit

EVERETT, Wash. — A chase ended in a violent crash in South Everett just after 2 a.m.

Troopers told KIRO 7 the pursuit of the car started on eastbound 112th Street.

It ended at the intersection of South 132nd and the Bothell Everett Highway when the suspect’s car crashed into another car, troopers said.

The suspect, a 30-year-old Mount Vernon man, was transported from the scene with minor injuries.

According to deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the man is being processed for suspicion of DUI and was driving with a suspended license.

The man also had a Department of Corrections felony warrant, deputies said.

Deputies said the driver of the other car, a 26-year-old Everett woman, and a passenger, a 29-year-old Auburn man, were both taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the SCSO.

The intersection of South 132nd and Bothell Everett Highway will be closed for a significant amount of time this morning.

Detours are in place for drivers.
