PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. - The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that 33-year-old Christina Kitchens is now in custody.
Kitchens is reportedly the girlfriend of 25-year-old Hobert Clark, whom deputies say was arrested last week in connection with a fatal shooting in Eatonville.
Pierce County Detective Ed Troyer said Clark is suspected of shooting and killing Paul Warner, an acquaintance, during an argument on 350th Street East.
Clark reportedly demanded Warner vacate the property where he was staying and then shot Warner, who was in his 50s, at close range with a shotgun.
Officials said Clark pointed the shotgun at a witness, threatened him and fired a shot toward another witness before fleeing the scene on a white sports bike.
After Clark's arrest last week, detectives determined that they had probable cause to arrest Kitchens for rendering criminal assistance in the shooting.
Investigators believe Kitchens was at the property when Warner was shot. After the shooting, Clark was seen placing the gun in Kitchens' car and Kitchens drove away, detectives said.
After checking multiple residences and homeless encampments, deputies said Kitchens was found and arrested in Parkland.
Kitchens was booked into the Pierce County Jail.
