Suspects in custody after Tacoma carjacking and collision with two other vehicles

A stolen car collided with a truck in Parkland on Thursday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

At around 1:01 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a three-vehicle collision at the corner of 116th Street South and C Street South in Parkland.

On route to the location, deputies were informed three juveniles were running from the scene.

When deputies arrived, they found a stolen car that had collided with the passenger side of a truck.

Deputies also learned one of the juveniles was armed with a pink handgun.

According to deputies, the car was taken in a carjacking in Tacoma.

Deputies located three of juveniles nearby, two boys and one girl, and detained them.

One of the boys was seriously injured during the collision and was transported to a hospital.

Deputies searched the juveniles and found the pink handgun on the girl.

The children that were unhurt will be booked into Remann Hall for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle.

The girl will also be charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue was also on the scene, assisting with the extrication of a victim.

Two of the victims from one of the involved vehicles, including an 85-year-old man, were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
