Stolen car stopped by wet concrete in Lakewood

A stolen car ran into a quick slowdown when the driver went into wet concrete in Lakewood on Monday, according to an Instagram post from the city.

A person drove a stolen car into a paving project at the North Gate Road roundabout, driving through the barricades and into the freshly poured concrete.

The driver, with a young child and a bottle of whiskey, tried to run away, but was followed by the city inspector.

The city inspector called 911 and the driver was quickly located and taken to jail.
