SOUTH HILL, Wash. — Deputies responding to a call of a home burglary were told by the victims that thieves made off with several items, including the presents under the Christmas tree.
Around 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a call of a residential burglary in the 8100 block of 174th Street Court East in South Hill.
The victims told deputies that they left for a Christmas party around 9 p.m., and returned around 1 a.m. to find their patio door smashed.
The burglars stole expensive jewelry, shoes and two safes containing precious metals and a gun.
They also stole the presents under the Christmas tree.
The victims told deputies they did not have surveillance video, but were checking with neighbors to see if they do.
