TACOMA, Wash. — A semi-truck leaked fuel on southbound I-5, south of the Tacoma Dome, after its fuel tank was punctured.
Trooper Brooke Bova said the tank was damaged when the semi hit metal debris at about 3 a.m.
Bova said the semi was leaking 160 gallons of fuel.
The Department of Ecology is sending a crew for cleanup, which is expected to take several hours.
Two lanes of SB I-5 were closed during the cleanup.
All lanes were back open by 4:30 a.m.
