PIERCE COUNTY,Wash. — UPDATE: On Friday morning, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said Amilleon Bonds was found safe in Lakewood and is in protective custody.
The Pierce County sheriff's deputies are asking for help in finding a 10-year-old who has been missing since Aug. 2 under "unknown circumstances."
Deputies said Amilleon Bonds' guardian reported him missing six days later and are trying to figure where he is and how he is doing.
Bonds has been in the custody of an adult cousin in Spanaway after being removed from his parents care by Child Protective Services, deputies said.
Bonds was reportedly picked up from his cousin's house Friday afternoon by an unknown relative for an overnight stay with his father; however, officials said Bonds' father is only supposed to have supervised visits.
Deputies said Bonds did not return the next day and his father reportedly told his guardian he did not know where Bonds was.
Bonds' mother also told deputies she did not know where he was.
Bonds is described as black, 4 feet tall, weighing 85 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Deputies said Bonds' relatives have reported he has run away in the past, and his parents have a history of picking him up and leaving him with people who are not his relatives or guardians.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.
